a little slice of heaven

Today was one of my favorite days here yet. We had class from 8:30-3:00 and then after we all decided to go to the gym together. It was nice to go and work out with my friends instead of by myself like usual. This weekend, there is a huge field hockey tournament here and the US is playing in it.... BETTER YET.... they are staying in the same halls as us!!!!! I was so excited. Players that I respect so much and that represent our country are here and staying literally feet away from me! INSANE.

Anyways... after the gym I took a quick shower and got dressed because Courtney, John and I wanted to go explore what was south of the city. So we took our bus passes (which we payed 82 euro for on the first day and for sure have already gotten our moneys worth) and  were on our way. We got information from the lady at the reception desk as to where we should explore, so we headed to Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.

Dun Laoghaire is a little Dublin Bay town that is nothing short of what you see on postcards. The harbor was filled with sailboats, and as we were leaving a huge boat was coming in. It was probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. People running, walking and dogs and boats everywhere. Here are some pictures from today...

Needless to say, this place was beautiful and if anyone ever gets the chance to visit, I highly recommend it. Well, I am off to read now because it is quarter til midnight and I haven't started my reading yet because I was exploring today. I think I'm falling in love with Ireland...
